The trail should be within reach.
Ride within Reach is researching the barriers that keep kids in Northwest Arkansas from accessing mountain biking — starting with cost, gear, transportation, and community access.
Backed by Local Support
Supported by businesses helping put the trail within reach.

Three pillars. One research mission.
Before building programs, we are spending year one listening, studying, and building the infrastructure to actually solve the access problem.
Understanding the Barrier
Conducting research to understand exactly what prevents kids in NWA from accessing mountain biking — from cost and gear to transportation and awareness.
Expanding Gear Access
Studying how to build responsible systems for collecting, assessing, and eventually distributing bikes, helmets, and essential gear to youth participants.
Building the Foundation
Establishing the community relationships, donor infrastructure, and organizational systems that will power meaningful access programs in year two and beyond.
"Before building programs, we are studying the problem."
Research-First
Year one is entirely focused on understanding what the access problem actually is — before prescribing a solution.
Community-Led
We are listening to families, riders, shops, and schools before deciding what programs to build.
Institutionally Credible
Structured to meet the standards of foundations, corporate partners, and serious individual donors.
Mountain biking is one of the most expensive youth sports in the country.
A quality entry-level trail bike costs $500–$1,200. Add helmet, gloves, shoes, pads, and annual maintenance — the total climbs fast. For families already stretched thin, there's no path in without help.
